On the face of it a quite strong list, however the back problems and core muscle’s instability have clearly produced a much reduced level of performance in comparison with the previous four seasons. The best way to describe it is that maximum effort simply wasn’t available, so it was a constant game of catch up. This was particularly apparent in the race finale when repeated explosive efforts are often required. When the back muscles were more in spasm then I was really left hanging on.
Knowing what the problems are and how to resolve them actually puts me in a stronger position now than that of 12 months ago and it is my number one priority to get this sorted!

With the help and advice of Tom Dupree (Move to Cure, Lebbeke) the work is well underway.

And now
the rest of history!!

In 1999 and 2000 won twelve races up to national level in Great Britain.
Moved to Belgium in 2001, riding for two years with Stoelmakerke racing team, based in Mechelen. I won five races for them, and had numerous top ten placings.
In 2003 I rode with “Bouwelse Wielervrienden”, again in Belgium and won ten races, including the Schaal Indekeu in Hulshout and the Grand Prix J.P. Monseré in Retie. Cyclingnews.com Continental Team was my team for 2004 and 2005.

The sport is still relatively new to me; I approach each challenge with fresh enthusiasm and ambition.
I've always believed that to realise my full potential requires the professional arena. This has been my motivation since the very first race.
